The Museos Vivos-Living Museums network will begin a new phase of the project in 2023 with the novelty that it will be open again to the integration of new territories of Castilla y León, as well as to the incorporation of churches and hermitages as new museum spaces in the network.
This was agreed at a meeting of the managers of the 15 local action groups currently involved in the project.
The incorporation to the network of churches and hermitages will allow these properties to be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, through the technological system used by Museos Vivos-Living Museums, thus providing an opportunity for lovers of sacred art to enjoy them with comfort and freedom.
The good performance of this museum model has also been the cause of the increase in requests for integration by other territories of Castilla y León that could not join in 2018, when it started. This situation is now going to be solved with the start of a new phase in 2023.
